This painting is part of my "Tree Trunks" series where I am experimenting with a variety of techniques. This painting is done in oil with a palette knife over an acrylic base, and incorporates decoupage of poems written by my dad, Clarence Drummond, on several of the tree trunks. This painting is on a 36"x18" stretched canvas that is 1.5" thick with the edges painted black.
