My college girlfriends and I go to the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland near Solomons Island every year. It is a great trip, and we eat lots of fresh Blue Crabs. I painted this background and it made me think of tidal pools on the beach. It was October, when we typically go to the Bay, and so the Blue Crab seemed the perfect thing to paint on this background. This painting is on a stretched canvas that is 24" wide and 18" tall and is framed.
